The AEE Letter to the American People

To the American People:

  When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

America has ceased to be a democracy in all but name. The concentration of power in the hands of a few is nearly total. They run the economy. They control Big Business. Their incomes go up while the rest of us suffer, no matter which party controls Washington. America is now a plutocracy.

Our democracy is lost, and must be restored by any means necessary. We have detonated nuclear explosions off the coasts of the United States. Our intent was not to harm anyone, but to demonstrate that we have the capabilities to wreak havoc if our requests are not acted upon.

We believe that it is the rightful role of government to ensure that every citizen has a fair shot at realizing the American dream. If the federal government had not abandoned this role, we would not be issuing this statement today. Our national government no longer serves the interests of all Americans.

Freedom from Want is a basic human right. Governments throughout history have oppressed their people, and suffered for it. America’s government has ceased to work for its people, and must suffer the consequences. We will not stop until we have a government that works for the many, not the few. The many have the right to:

  • Free education, at all levels.
  • Their own home, free from vulture banks.
  • Free healthcare for all.
  • A commitment to full employment

These basic needs are the only means to ensure Freedom from Want. When the education system favors the rich over the rest, it is not democratic. When millions of hard-working Americans lose their homes, our democracy has failed. When our health system favors the rich over the rest, it is not democratic.

Unfortunately, we see no way to accomplish our objectives without making the following threat: If our demands are not met within 45 days, we will set off a series of dirty bombs in American cities.

We have established a Web site, www.A-E-E.org, which we will use should it be necessary to communicate with you and the public in the future. If access to this site is in any way limited by the government, we will instantly detonate the pre-planted bombs. At this site, we invite Americans to review the information we have assembled, and to discuss concerns about their economic security.

We don’t doubt that your police forces will spend untold hours looking for us. We are no longer here. Many bombs are planted throughout the nation, and we can activate them remotely. After the reforms we have requested are instituted, we pledge to the American people that we will reveal the location of all of the dirty bombs planted on the U.S. mainland, so they can be peacefully removed.
